Scientia Terrae has successfully developed a technology to simultaneously detect and quantify a wide variety of plant pathogenic and beneficial microorganisms in complex environmental samples such as soils, substrates, seeds, composts, animal manure, water, and plants. Each diagnosis can be achieved within 36 hours of sampling based on an objective technique utilizing an array of genus- and species-specific DNA fragments.
Thus, this new strategy provides a substantial improvement in diagnosis time from the 14 to 21 days typically experienced with currently recognized conventional culture plating and subjective microscopic methods.
